Best Friend Dolls – Toilet Roll Crafts




We just love making with toilet paper tubes in our house – making dolls to act out engaging story lines from Peg + Cat, the chicken coop, superhero adventures, princesses parties and today, with summer holidays in mind, we made best friend dolls for pretend play fun in the sun.

Toilet roll crafts are perfect for kids age 5+, or for you to enjoy making together.



Materials:
  • Toilet paper tubes
  • Decorative tape or washy tape
  • Flesh-colored paint and brush
  • Felt and yarn for the hair
  • Glue
  • Markers


Instructions:

Paint the tops of the toilet paper tubes with the flesh-colored paint.



Wrap the decorative tape around the paper tube to create the clothes.

Create the boy's hair with felt and then glue around the tube.



Tie a bunch of yarn together to create the girl's hair.



Glue the yarn into the inside of the toilet paper tube.



Draw the face and any details you would like on the clothes.

How to build Cardboard City DIY Toy: Cardboard City  Materials : 1 large cardboard box for the base, flattened  Various sized cardboard boxes, things like cereal boxes, empty food boxes, paper cups…  Paint  Hot Glue  Duct tape  Matchbox cars, animal figures, rocks, strawberry baskets for fences, clothespins, pipe cleaners, anything you can think of!  Instructions : Starting with the flattened cardboard box, lay down the duct tape to make roads and define building lots.  Using hot glue start gluing boxes down in different “lots”.
